We can’t bring the 2020 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship to you due to the coronavirus pandemic – but we can bring some of the players to you in Facebook live chats!
Swiss goaltender Andrea Brandli, Finnish goaltender Noora Raty and Germany’s captain Julia Zorn made the start last week and now we go into the new week with two more Women’s Worlds players.
On Tuesday Swiss scoring star Lara Stalder, who recently won the golden helmet as voted MVP of Sweden’s women’s hockey league SDHL, will join us on Facebook at 14:00 Central European Time (8am ET in North America) and answer your questions. Stalder has been a top-6 overall scorer at the last three Olympic and Women’s Worlds tournament she played and won Olympic bronze in Sochi 2014.
On Wednesday long-time Russian national team player Alexandra Vafina will be our guest in a Facebook live session at 16:00 Moscow Time (15:00 Central European Time, 9am ET in North America). Vafina has been played at the Women’s Worlds since 2008 and won bronze with Russia in 2013 and 2016. During the time she was studying in North America and playing for the University of Minnesota-Duluth and the University of Calgary, she won also two Universiade gold medals with Russia.
