The IIHF is looking to recruit content creators to contribute to its global ice hockey coverage through IIHF.com and the IIHF’s social media platforms.

We are seeking talented, enthusiastic, and creative contributors with a wide variety of skills ranging from sports journalism, video editing, graphic development, and social media content creation/management.

We are offering potential contract positions to contribute to IIHF web and social media content during IIHF Championship events like the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, the IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship, the IIHF World Junior Championship, the men’s and women’s’ U18 World Championship, as well as the Olympic and Youth Olympic Winter Games men’s and women’s’ ice hockey events.

In the interest of increasing exposure of our lower-division IIHF events, any candidates based in countries hosting IIHF tournaments are encouraged to reach out to inquire about potential opportunities.

Candidates interested in covering other international ice hockey events (leagues in Europe, Asia, etc.), or activities involving an IIHF member national association are also encouraged to apply.

We are seeking to recruit:

-Experienced sports writers with a passion for women’s hockey to cover the Women’s World Championship and U18 Women’s World Championship tournaments and/or other women’s hockey stories

-Multimedia journalists interested in providing on-site video and written coverage of IIHF and Olympic tournaments

-On-camera personalities to conduct player interviews and host live social media shows

-Graphic designers capable of working on tournament graphic packages for social media and video content

-Videographers to record interviews, edit videos, and create highlight packages

The ideal candidates are motivated self-starters that are looking to further develop their portfolio with international ice hockey coverage. They should have previous experience creating sports content for an established professional or semi-professional league, club, national association or media outlet.

Good knowledge of the international ice hockey landscape, as well as leagues and clubs in Europe, North America, and elsewhere, are a plus. Candidates should be comfortable speaking and writing in English language and willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Anyone interested should send an email with their CV and portfolio to [email protected].
