Due to reasons related to Covid-19 and countermeasures Hong Kong, China has withdrawn its men’s team that was scheduled to compete at the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division III Group B in South Africa.
The tournament is now planned from 13 to 18 March 2022 in Cape Town with the three remaining teams – South Africa, Thailand and Bosnia & Herzegovina – playing a double round robin. A new game schedule will be established soon.
Due to several team withdrawals, the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group B in Zagreb, Croatia, cannot be played as originally planned. The tournament has been moved to 16-23 May 2022 and all six originally entered teams remain eligible to participate: Australia, Iceland, New Zealand, Turkey, Croatia and South Africa.

Discussions with the involved teams and hosts of the tournaments that were cancelled in January due to the epidemiological situation are ongoing and further information will be published on the official website once agreed upon with all stakeholders.
