Same as in the past Olympic cycles, Arena Riga will be one of the host venues of the men’s Final Olympic Qualification for Beijing 2022.

The ticket sale for the Men’s Final Olympic Qualification tournament in Riga will start online on www.passportix.eu on 3 August. The tournament will take place at Arena Riga from 26 to 29 August.
Depending on the sector, the price of one ticket will be €29, €22 and €15. Upon presentation of a valid certificate, pupils, students and pensioners can buy tickets with a discount – accordingly for €19, €15 and €10.
According to the current regulations, the games can be visited by persons who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 or have recovered from this infection. All visitors older than 12 years will be asked to show a valid Latvian or EU Covid-19 certificate at the entrance, as well as an identity document and a ticket. Children under the age of 12 will be let in arena only if a Covid-19 certificate confirms that the person has been previously infected and recovered from infection.
The organizer of the competition has the right to deny entry to the competition arena to persons with signs of respiratory infectious diseases (fever, cough, shortness of breath).
Latvia, France, Italy and Hungary will compete in Group E for a spot at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
The Latvian team will start the tournament on 26 August with a game against Italy. A day later, the Latvian team will have a game against Hungary and on 29 August the Latvians will end the tournament in a clash with France.
In Group D (Bratislava) Slovakia, Belarus, Austria and Poland will meet. Norway, Denmark, Korea and Slovenia will play their group in Oslo. Only the winner of each tournament will advance to the Olympics.
The Latvian national team has so far participated in four winter Olympic Games in a row - in 2002 (Salt Lake City), 2006 (Turin), 2010 (Vancouver) and 2014 (Sochi), but the team did not qualify for the last Olympics in PyeongChang 2018.
