Former Polish national team player Adam Kopczynski passed away on 8 February. He reportedly died at a hospital for Covid-19 patients in Zgierz at the age of 72.
Kopczynski was born in Krakow and spent his career with his hometown team Cracovia Krakow and LKS Lodz, which became his home for most of his life, and was also working as a player and coach for Olympia Heist op den Berg in Belgium.
He played 107 international games for Poland including the 1972 Olympic Winter Games in Sapporo and six World Championship tournaments (three of them in the top division).
