The Malaysian ice hockey family mourns the death of forward Ton Tee Teh, a former national team player who recently had his comeback and practised with the national team to help it for the upcoming season.
The forward was only 43 when he and a colleague driving the car died in a car accident in Kuala Lumpur on early Sunday morning. According to a police statement they died on the spot due to severe injuries.
Teh represented Malaysia at the Asian Winter Games in 2007 and several IIHF Ice Hockey Challenge Cup of Asia events between 2008 and 2013. He recently had his comeback in the national team camp and played last season in the Malaysian league for the Kuala Lumpur Club.
