Women’s Camp held in Malaysia

The 2019 IIHF/MIHF Asian Women’s Camp took place in the first week of July in Malaysia.

This week the 2019 IIHF/MIHF Asian Women’s Camp took place at the Malaysia National Ice Skating Center in the Kuala Lumpur region.

It included many of the countries that are part of the Challenge Cup of Asia program that focuses on the younger ice hockey programs of the continent.

69 female players and 11 coaches came to the camp from Chinese Taipei, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.

Four local mentor coaches were led by Christian Weber, a former Swiss national team player who was worked as a coach in Switzerland and Austria. Four local team managers with one mentor, three game officials and one result manager joined the event as well to get hands-on experience.
