Hop on one foot
Objective: Improves coordination, balance and agility 

Points of emphasis
  • Start in hockey stance 
  • Transfer whole weight and stand on one leg only, lift the other leg off the ice 
  • Bend the knee of the leg that stayed on ice 
  • Lower the body into jump position and jump straight up 
  • Keep chest and head up 
  • Maintain the hold of the stick 
  • Progression – add lateral movement to the hop
