The 2024 IIHF Championship Disciplinary Panel for the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II B has issued a one game suspension to Team Iceland's Kristjan Johannesson for violating Official Playing Rule 50 (Kneeing).

The incident occurred at 11:12 in the 1st period of game number 5 between Romania and Iceland on 15 January 2024.

The Championship Disciplinary Panel determined that because the Player, in an attempt to make a check on his opponent, did so leading with his knee, making significant knee-on-knee contact and causing an apparent injury, he is deemed to have violated Official Playing Rule 50 (Kneeing).
