The cream keeps on rising to the top in our fourth Power Rankings of the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. Wrapping up the group stage, Sweden remains in first place after retaining its perfect record with a convincing 6-1 win over Slovakia. Canada, the defending champion, is still second after defeating the David Pastrnak-bolstered Czechs 4-3 in overtime. And the U.S. – which erupted for 16 goals in its last two group games – jumps back up into third place. Bring on the cheers and the tears in the quarter-finals!
