What an unforgettable ending to the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship! Czechia not only captured the gold medal on home ice to end a 14-year drought, but also nails down first place in our final Power Rankings. The valiant but heartbroken Swiss get second place after earning the silver medal for the third time in the last 11 tournaments (2013, 2018). And Sweden locks up third place after defeating Canada in the bronze medal game. It’s been an amazing ride in Prague and Ostrava, and we can’t wait to bring you more Power Rankings fun next year in Stockholm and Herning!
