IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship will be hosted in Finland in the beginning of January 2025.
Designer Eemeli Heikkilä started designing the tournament’s logo in early summer and finished it in August.
This is how Heikkilä describes the designing process:
– The core of the tournament's logo aims to highlight the host country together with the essence of the tournament, aka ice hockey. The starting point for designing was to create a simple logo that can be used versatilely in the tournament's communications.
Heikkilä also had responsibility in mind when designing the logo.
– The logo also aimed to incorporate sustainability, and therefore, the color scheme of the logo has been designed to match the branding of the previous Men's and Men’s U18 World Championships held in Finland. This allows for the reuse of materials produced for earlier tournaments.
