Ceske Budejovice

České Budějovice is the administrative and cultural capital of the South Bohemia Region. It lies in the southern part of Czechia at the confluence of the Vltava and Malše rivers. It is home to approximately 96 thousand inhabitants, and around 170 thousand inhabitants in the agglomeration. The historic centre was declared a city conservation area in 1980. České Budějovice is a frequent destination for tourists from Germany, Austria, but also from Asia and other parts of the world. On the one hand, it has many valuable historical monuments and on the other hand, it is a natural centre of the attractive South Bohemian Region. Most of the monuments are in the city's historical centre.
