The U.S. tops our final Power Rankings of the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship after rallying to beat Finland 4-3 in overtime in the gold medal game in Ottawa.

It’s been a wild and memorable ride in Ottawa. In our final Power Rankings of the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship, the U.S. nails down first place with its exciting 4-3 gold-medal victory over Finland in overtime, defending its title for the first time in World Junior history. Settling for silver, the gritty Finns take second place. Meanwhile, Czechia’s 3-2 bronze-medal shootout win over the Swedes leaves it in third place.
