Supplementary discipline implemented against Amanda Refsgaard

The IIHF Disciplinary Secretary (“Secretary”) for the 2025 Women’s Final Olympic Ice Hockey Qualification Group H has issued a warning against Denmark’s Amanda Refsgaard (#15) for delivering an illegal body check on a non-puck carrying player. 

The incident occurred at 27:00 in the second period of Game #3 between Denmark and Norway. As this matter involves a violation of IIHF Official Playing Rule 56 – Interference, the Panel has jurisdiction over the matter. 
 
The Disciplinary Panel determined that the Player delivered an illegal body check on a non-puck carrying player. Further, the Panel considered that, while there was head contact, the head wasn’t picked or targeted. However, with the opponent not making any sudden movement prior to or simultaneously with the contact, the Player had the responsibility to avoid or minimize any contact. Therefore, she shall be sanctioned as follows:
