The 2024 IIHF Championship Disciplinary Panel for the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II Group B has issued a warning against Belgium’s Robbe Delport for charging Serbia’s number 23 into the boards.
The incident in question occurred at 35:12 in the 2nd period of Game number 6 between Belgium and Serbia.
The Championship Disciplinary Panel determined that while Serbia’s number 23 was skating toward the end boards to make a play on the puck with the Player in pursuit. The Player makes a hit on this play from the back side causing his opponent to be thrown dangerously into the boards, he is deemed to have violated Official Playing Rule 41 (Boarding). The Player shall be sanctioned as follows:
