The 2024 IIHF Championship Disciplinary Panel for the 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division II B has issued a one game suspension to Team Australia’s Daniel O’Handley for violating Official Playing Rule 43 (Checking from Behind).
The incident occurred at 20:32 in the 2nd period of Game number 4 between Chinese Taipei and Australia.
The Championship Disciplinary Panel determined that, as the Player made a play on the puck, he did so while hitting Chinese Taipei’s number 7 dangerously from behind into the boards. Therefore, he is deemed to have violated Official Playing Rule 43 (Checking from Behind).
