The theme of 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship highlights togetherness and human emotions. 

The official 2023 IIHF WM logo has elements from both organizing countries, Finland and Latvia. The Ice Hockey World Championship trophy is in the middle, and it is surrounded by Finnish and Latvian flags.

It gives an impression of togetherness, and it celebrates the tournament of sixteen teams.

The colours of the logo and the whole visual concept are from Finnish and Latvian flags. Red and white symbolize Latvia and blue and white are the colors of Finland.

In 2023, IIHF WM visual concept will have a gradient color where blue and red combine is used.

Showing emotions

“We live the game” is the slogan for the 2023 IIHF WM, resembling all the emotions from international ice hockey.

We win and we lose. No matter what happens, we stand together. 

The slogan is part of the whole 2023 IIHF WM visual concept, and there is more to come: graphical elements and illustrations to be used with the slogan will be revealed at a later stage. 

The 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will take place from 12 to 28 May. Group A is played in Tampere, Finland and group B in Riga, Latvia.
