Grit, heart, and desire. Canada relied on those elements at the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship, as the reigning Olympic gold medalists repeated as world champions by battling to a 2-1 gold-medal win over the heartbroken Americans. Accordingly, the North American superpowers sit 1-2 in our final Power Rankings. The third-place Czechs sparked a joyous celebration, winning their first bronze medal – their first medal of any shade! – with a 4-2 victory versus Switzerland. It’s been another fun run with the Power Rankings in Herning and Frederikshavn as Denmark made history by hosting this tournament for the first time. See you again in the spring at the 2023 Women's Worlds!
