“Here We Go is a fusion of two different, musical universes,” Baker said. “The song is about a moment from which there is no point of return. In sports you sometimes work all your life for a special moment and when you’re ahead of it there’s only one: give it all! That’s the energy, dynamics and emotions I tried to put into the song. Live your life now and do everything to never have regrets.”

“When I received the offer from the World Championship Organizing Committee, I was of course excited as a former hockey player and sport fan.”

Gian Gilli, Director of the 2020 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Organizing Committee, said: “It is great that with Bastian Baker a young, hockey-crazy artist performs the World Championship song. That he’s from the World Championship venue Lausanne and known outside of our country’s borders makes him the ideal interpreter for our World Championship song.”
