HERNING ARENA

Herning Arena

The Herning Arena was built in 2010 and was the first multi-purpose arena in Denmark. The arena opened in October the same year launching a spectacular and sold-out Lady Gaga concert.

The arena has a capacity of 11 019 spectators when ice hockey is played, and it was home ice for team Denmark at the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships.

The Herning Arena has been the venue for several concerts featuring international musicians, artists, pop- & rockstars, but the arena is particularly known for hosting larger sport events, like handball, swimming, volleyball, table tennis, horse riding & ice hockey championships.

The Herning Arena is located just 3 kilometers from city center and the arena is a part of the local exhibition center with thousands of square meters in surrounding buildings, making it possible to create a world class indoor and Official Fan Zone.
